Understanding childhood

Æskan hefur orðið að miðlægu viðfangsefni í samfélagsumræðu og stefnumótun, bæði innanlands og á heimsvísu. Þrátt fyrir þau forréttindi sem börn á Vesturlöndum njóta er vestræn æska ekki lengur talin sú fyrirmynd sem allir eigi að stefna að. Understanding childhood er ný skoðun á því hvernig æskan hefur breyst á síðustu árum og sýnir hvernig þarfir og reynsla barna hafa öðlast nýja sýnileika.
